Navy Nuclear Supplier
CAGE # 8U766
Founded in 1981, Micro Precision, Inc. is a prime contractor supplying critical parts and mechanical assemblies to the U.S. Department of Defense and other governmental agencies. Operating under MIL-I-45208 compliance standards for gage control and source tracing of raw materials, as well as Level 1/SubSafe and Navy Nuclear qualifications, MPI provides a broad range of mechanical, hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical components to customers exacting standards.
For the nuclear submarine program, MPI provides a complete manufacture, assembly and testing of mission critical components including hydraulic accumulators, valves, actuator and manifold assemblies as well as periscope hoist equipment and weapons handling.
In 1997, MPI developed a drop-deployable 20-foot telescoping tower system for the Tactical Automated Security System (TASS). Going from design to deployment in less than 6 months, the AERIAL
PTS has become the industry standard for an all-weather portable tower system with more than 500 units in service in hot-spots around the world including: the "green zone" in Iraq, throughout Afghanistan, Kosovo and Korea, as well as at critical installations around the U.S.
AERIAL PTS towers provide exceptional payload capacity for a wide variety of military, homeland defense, first responder, media and communications applications, including a highly stable platform for elevating infrared imaging cameras, ground radars, microwave dishes, and antennas.
In 2005 MPI acquired Wentworth Manufacturing expanding its core manufacturing business with the design and production of precision tools and prototype aerospace parts.
